It is our final week of school before the winter break!  Since we have a full week of school we will still be having our spelling test on Friday.  

Santa's Workshop will be held on Thursday and Friday.  This is a fun shopping experience for your kids.  All items are $1.00.  This is their time to go holiday shopping for their family. This year students are limited to $5.00 with the exception of families who have more than 5 members.  I have not received the schedule for which day our class will be shopping so be ready for either.  

Friday is pajama day for our class.  We will be celebrating with the Polar Express.  We will be sipping hot cocoa and lounging while completing our work on this day.  YAY!  Some students may not want to wear PJs-thats okay!  I will be wearing mine.  Please feel free to bring some goodies for them to enjoy with their hot cocoa.  Yum!

Wow, the weather outside is frightful.  It seems like there should be snow when the temperature drops this low.  Make sure your little darlings are all bundled up.  We go outside unless the temperature is below zero.  I had a few kids today who were freezing and begging to go inside.    Brrrr. . .  time to break out my warm mittens.

Do you have any extra snow pants, gloves, boots, or hats that you no longer need?  I am looking for some extras for the classroom.  We have a few kids without.  Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Just a reminder that if your child is too sick for recess then they need to stay home.  We don't always have someone in the classroom who can look after your child.  Thanks!

The students have been working hard!  We even have two little elves watching us during the day.  They named them Speedy and Sparkle.  We read the book "Elf on a Shelf" and realized that these elves  are reporting to Santa at night.  We have all been trying our hardest and have been on our best behavior.  Whew!

Please continue practicing Xtra Math.  This helps with fluency of addition and is part of the report card!

It is hard to believe that the end of the year is so near.  We have a full three weeks of learning ahead.  I have added great learning links for your children below.  They will help reinforce what we have been learning in class.  We will be using them during Tech Time this week.

Thank you for helping your child remember all their snow gear.  It is really hard on them to only play on the blacktop when they don't have it!  PLEASE label all gear as many students have the same items.

I will be sending in the book order at the end of this week.  If you want books for presents, please just send me a note so I know not to send it with them.  You can order on the link below.

We have another new student.  His name is Thomas and he moved from Independent School.  Welcome Thomas!  This bring our class to 21 students.
